Question about release dates

When I was growing up in the 1970's you would typically see a new Disney film with a double feature with one of the older animated films.

Is there any place these pairings are documented?

For example, I could swear I saw 101 Dalmatians in a double feature with The Last Flight Of Noah's Ark. But IMDB shows the release date of Noah's Ark as 1980 and the re-release of Dalmatians as 1979.

Is my memory faulty? Or were these pairings arranged haphazardly with the theater owners? There were a lot more movie theater companies back then, and this particular theater where I'm remembering seeing this double feature was independent.
