The Mountains in the Background

I tried to find references to the mountains in the background while they were capturing the horses, but could not find any comments.

Were these the same mountains where Carole Lombard's plane crashed in 1942? It was in Nevada where she was killed, where the film was happening.

If so, it must have been a painful reminder to be there for filming.

Nowhere near where Lombard died, she perished in the Sierra Nevada and this was filmed 200 miles from there.
