Coming to remastered US Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 24, 2015

The film is being restored by the 3-D Film Archives, and will be released as a 3-D Blu-ray disc by Kino on November 24,2015. The print will be complete, as opposed to the Rhino Video VHS and laserdisc versions. The original soundtrack music is also being restored to the 3-D sequences, and reportedly hasn't been heard since the 1962 theatrical release.

The disc will offer an anaglyph (red and blue lenses) version of the film, and it's been reported that the 3-D glasses will be reprinted to resemble the 3-D glasses that accompanied the film back in 1962.

There will be a separate DVD release as well.

Note: The Blu-ray release will NOT have the 3-D glasses, because the Blu-ray case isn't large enough. You will need to purchase the glasses separately from Kino. A pair costs three dollars, and that includes shipping. It will be necessary to mail either a check or money order to Kino. The film will be presented in both 3-D and anaglyph format (the latter requires the 3-D glasses).

The DVD release WILL have the 3-D glasses included. The DVD will only present the film in anaglyph format.

There will be different supplements on the Blu-ray and DVD versions.

For starters, the blu ray is awesome! The 3D sequences are in real 3D so you will need a 3D capatable tv and 3D blu ray player and use your own 3D glasses that work with your tv. You can also watch the old 3D (with cardboard glasses not included) for non-3D tvs. This is only blu ray disc.
There may be a separate DVD sold also but not as a combo.

There is a separate DVD release that presents the film with the 3-D sequences in anaglyph (3-D red-and-cyan glasses provided in the DVD only).

Both the Blu-ray and the DVD have an audio commentary track with a 3-D historian, as well as a 20 minute documentary about the film's Canadian director Julian Roffman.

I just used the same cardboard 3-D red and blue glasses that were included in my "Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3-D" case. I don't own a 3-D HDTV or a 3-D Blu-ray player.
