I'm guessing this is the movie that Ray Harryhausen referenced...

...when he said that he wanted to create a cyclops (for The 7th Voyage of Sinbad) that was "something other than just a Greek wrestler with an eye in the middle of his forehead." Really, those special effects were none too convincing. It was pretty apparent from the get-go that this was going to be a "hero and villain are never in the same scene because the villain is a giant, the hero is normal, and they're actually about the same size in real life and we can't afford blue screen" endeavor. I was totally convinced that it was an actual cyclops and not a wrestler with a mask covering his real eyes and a single fake eye glued at the very edge of his nose. The fake teeth were also exceptionally difficult to spot. It's amazing how the Maciste films of the 1920s had better special effects than the Maciste films of the 1960s.

Oh well, at least Queen Capys was hot.

Nowhere near as bad as "The Passion of the Christ". Give me roller derby over this in no time.
