Paul Anka and His Agent

It was all the rage back then to have teen stars like Fabian and Frankie Avalon appear in films. Many teen stars of the day had successful film careers but in Fabians case they were small parts in "A" films such as "The Longest Day" or in light comedies like "Love in a Goldfish Bowl". In 1960 Anka was a big star and was headlining at the Copa, so it seems odd his handlers would have him appear in a sleazy film like this. It's not that it was a breakthrough role he kind of walked through it. Any one else agree?
