Color off on Eclipse/Criterion?

Does anyone know if the color was mishandled by Criterion? I have the Japanese VHS and the credit sequence has a different color background from that on the Criterion transfer. Also the opening sequence in the bar in slightly greenish on the Japanese, which appears to be correct as there is green neon light in the background, while the Criterion version is pinkish purple (too much magenta?). Please pass on any information if you know.
