Joan Marshall as Emily and that House in solvang?

did anyone think Joan Marshall was pretty?
I thought she was very pretty and she could act!
she played the part of Emily so convincingly. (as she played Warren good too, though looked like a hormone challenged male!!)

anyone know where that house was?? I know it was a Solvang location.
ive been to Solvang before, but I don't recall any houses around there like that..
I love this movie by the way!!

Why, thank you.

I just watched it on TCM...what complete camp! I never would have known you were playing both roles except somehow my husband guessed it near the end. Weird and awesome, and yes you were very pretty! Like a doll, almost.

You really didn't recognize that Warren was being played by the same woman playing Emily? I knew it as soon as the adult Warren appeared on the screen. ;-)

reply

Oh, aren't you smart.

LOL... Just average, really. ;-) A lot of other folks posting on the board noticed it right away, too.

And now for something completely different...

Oh, "tkeene-3," you should have been on the set. We were in absolute stitches almost the whole time. We couldn't believe how ridiculous the whole thing was.

Of course, we had all seen and been stunned by Mr. Hitchcock's "Psycho" and here we were making Bill Castle's $1.98 version as fast as we could to capitalize on "Psycho."

We all did the best we could with it. The film has taken on a life of its own!

I thank you for the genuinely lovely things you wrote. They're most appreciated.

Why are you pretending to be this actress? Is her death in 1992 incorrect? I doubt it. So, you sign in as her for~~~~what purpose? But, you use her name from the film credits, not the name she changed to. Hmmmm...

To answer the OP Joan Marshall was very pretty.
If anybody remembers her as Sailor Duval in "Bold Venture" you'll know what I mean.

I'm glad to know that even more than 20 years after your death you're still around on the IMDb threads pleasing your fans. Give my regards to Mr. Castle if you see him.

Joan Marshall was an extremely beautiful woman. Striking. And a very competent actress. "Approach her with extreme caution as she is considered to be homicidal." !!

I think she is pretty in "Homicidal", but her look is a little hard-edged for me to say she is "attractive". She is much more appealing in her Star Trek appearance as Lt. Shaw in the "Court Martial" episode. Her hair isn't as severe and her make-up is subtler and more natural-looking.
