Richard Rust

I just love Richard Rust as the bellboy Jim Nesbitt at the beginning of this movie, who gets married for CASH! I could watch his part over and over.... oh wait, that's right, sometimes I do.

Yes, that's MY problem with his career, UNDERRATED! His birthday's coming up on Thursday, by the way. I am currently collecting all of his appearances in TV and film. Luckily, someone here even found his Rat Patrol episode where, all over the internet, he was credited as Richard Dust. We fixed that! I think my favorite role of his is Oliver in Walk on the Wild Side, but I've listed a few others on his page at tv.com. I also updated his page quite a bit here on the imdb. I really do wish he'd done more, I see so many films and say WHY WASN'T RICHARD RUST in this one or that one, like The Godfather! Why??? No one seems to know. Nice to hear from another Rust fan.

___I must be the only person who thinks Rust and Glenn Corbet look too much alike, very similar types, which I found confusing the very first time I viewed this old film. However, upon later review I agree Rust was very good in a good film, 'Walk On The Wild Side'.

I've noticed that Richard Rust is apt to look like Hugh Laurie at times. It's a wonder that his bellhop character didn't get killed in this. I suppose that the 2,000 dollars he got for marrying was hush money about the murder at the wedding. I've not seen Richard Rust in anything else.
