No remake should ever be made of this classic.

And also - Roll Tide.

The special effects look a little dated now, though I’d much prefer a restored edition over a remake, a new version with a closer to the novel Force Ten sequel shot back to back or mini-series of the two would be good!

Maybe they could remake it with people who were actually of military age?

I mean I love this movie, I love Gregory Peck and David Niven, but damn. They were both in late middle age, playing soldiers in an era where few in the army were over 30, and hardly anyone was over 40.

They definitely shouldn't remake it. But if that did happen, someone like Mel Gibson or Christopher McQuarrie should direct it.

If it's done right and with the right cast it might be entertaining.
