Filming location of opening scenes????

Yes i'm a big fan of Antonios.
Amazing sometimes the vibe and atmosphere he could get with a tiny budget.
The opening shots of "Battle of the Worlds" is a perfect example. Simply filming outdoors by the water he somehow suggests a futuristic landscape. I'm sure that's a real (not studio created) location, but totally unlike anything i've seen. Perhaps filmed someplace like a Greek island or something. Those opening shots are very cool.
Anyone have any idea where these scenes were actually filmed???
