Glenn ford

This movie would have been much better with Alain Delon as Julio. Glenn Ford was a stiff as he was in all his movies.

He was badly mis-cast in this film . . . though a popular actor, he didn't fit this character at all . . . Laurence Harvey, Dirk Bogarde perhaps . . . Delon may have been a bit too young, though Ford is clearly too old for the role . . . interesting film nonetheless . . .

Funny...what you call stiff in Glenn Ford I always attributed to underacting,
maybe because he's Canadian and those people are less freaked out than
Americans.

Or no acting at all!

I thought Glenn Ford did a fine job. I prefer him to the other people who have been suggested. I am biased because I like him as an actor but I do feel he was good in this role.

Glenn Ford IMO, ruined the film. He looked bored to death in his role.
