NBC Needs to Do a Live Presentation of This

This needs to be NBC's next live musical performance, starrung Constance Wu and Jamie Chung.

I think it would be a tough sell today. Though many people like it, it is considered to be very dated today. Attempts at adapting it and reviving it have not gone very well. I love the film though and glad it is here with us forever.

Agreed. I do not understand though why something like "Grease", also set in the '50's is still enjoyed while "Flower Drum Song" is considered dated. I would think that the toughest part would be in the casting and inevitably there would still be the crossover casting between Chinese /Japanese/ Korean /Filipino.

Thanks for your comment, "Grease" survives for now as long as the "baby boomers" are around to be sentimental about their "Happy Days" of earlier times, but it may fade as they do as well. I heard the TV stage version was terrible, according to my older sister.

Having only seen the film, I am in no position to argue with your sister. Cheers.
