Details on Scorcese's 1993 restoration with comments from Heston

Watching EL CID on the Japan blu-ray wondering if it could look any better and then I remember that we still don't have a nice, crisp blu-ray transfer of the much more popular THE GREAT ESCAPE. Sounds like Scorcese went all in on this existing EL CID restoration, maybe better elements have surfaced since then...

Martin Scorsese worked on the restoration, which involved tracking down the missing magnetic stereo tracks and creating a new internegative from the original yellow, cyanand magenta Technicolor production masters.
