shareI agree. However, I saw "El Cid" seven years ago at The Egyptian in Hollywood, and the Hestons were sitting about six rows behind me. Now THAT was an experience!

shareI saw El Cid when it came out in 1961 in Memphis. I still remember it very well. I was about 7 years old then. I would love to see it on the big screen again.
shareI've seen El Cid on big screens in Burgos, one of its settings, and in Seville.
The Spanish really get into it!
God, they must go crazy watching the film in Burgos, since that was where El Cid came from,and is where a lot of the film is set (although it was filmed elsewhere in Spain).
