where can I get a (reasonably priced) widescreen DVD?

I've read the reviews, and I don't think, as available as the film is in pan&scan as a public domain film, I want to see Peckinpah's original compositions, unfiltered. But I don't want that Japanese DVD that costs 35 bucks that's listed in the other post on this board.

Anyone know where I can get one (region free or region 1)

The UK version is in widescreen. Obviously its region 2, but if you download the program AnyDVD you can watch it on your PC regardless of the region. The film isn't great. None of the male actors have any charisma.
