It played first-run in Seattle on May 25, 1962

I'm reading old Seattle movie theater ads, and found that THE DEAD ONE played for a week at one of the downtown Seattle movie palaces, beginning on Friday, May 25th, 1962. It was the co-feature to the superior shocker BURN, WITCH, BURN.

That double-bill later played at a suburban "family" theater, accompanied by the third feature ATLANTIS, THE LOST CONTINENT.

The family in New Orleans, whose plantation was used for the filming of THE DEAD ONE, thought for decades that the film had only played theatrically in the New Orleans area. However, the Seattle theater ad proves that the film enjoyed a run in Seattle and Renton, Washington.
