It's been a while now, but he still stands as an excellent director. His contributions to early Hammer success with The Quatermass Xperiment, Quatermass 2 and The Abominable Snowman are unforgettable. He gave the spoof version of Casino Royale as much sense as possible. But his true masterpiece is this British sci-fi gem The Day the Earth Caught Fire, one of the best science fiction movies I've ever seen.

To Mr. Guest, a unique and talented filmmaker.
