Edward Judd

Was Edward Judd by any chance Colonel Buchan in the TV-series "The Freewheelers"?

You're utilizing the world's most comprehensive data-base for motion pictures, and lack the motivation to look up the most simple information that is readily available? No...Edward Judd wasn't in the "Freewheelers". The role of Colonel Buchan was played by Ronald Leigh-Hunt.

Thank you for having the guts to say this. OP reminds me of all those "Is this on DVD?" posts.

Idk. He sure looked a lot like Lee J. Cobb though. With a little bit of William Holden in the mix.

Over the years, I've seen Edward Judd in a number of things, BUT, the one thing I've seen more times than any other was his episode of THE NEW AVENGERS, "To Catch A Rat", where Steed, Purdey & Gambit try to discover the identity of a long-ago traitor who's gone underground via a high-level Ministry position!

Especially of interest was the interaction between his character, "Cromwell", and "Purdey" (Joanna Lumley), where he tried to break through her resistence to possible romance. But are his motives honorable-- or even HONEST? One of the best episodes of the series, written by Terrence Feeley.

I was blown away by his starring role in "THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE". What a range of moods! I should track down more of his work.
