Is this an american production?

Is it just me that I heard a bit american style of dialect? londoners do not speak english like this anymore( frenzy which is all about london does not have this kind of dialect). Is it because american productions started to mimick lingo that i heard in other movies is causing this confusion? I mean original being taken as duplicate?
what a uber stylish movie though( but it has american style of cinema as well)!

A completely British film. Nothing American involved.

The characters were, in the main, Fleet Street reporters and editors. Newspaper work was (and still is) running against deadlines. The tendency is to talk fast and get on with it.
If there had been ANY American input you can bet that Judd's part would have gone to a B-List Hollywood actor to sell it on the US market.

That said, Judd does have some slight American inflections....

Come on lads, bags of swank!
