Oliver Reed - up there with Lee and Cushing IMHO...

His monstert is truly memorable - I heard the original Hulk production team (for the 70s TV show) studied it closely for make-up and performance.

Not really a Wolf Man representation. It's an adaptation of The Werewolf Of Paris. No relation to The Wolf Man.

How did The Werewolf of Paris influence The Wolf Man? The Wolf Man was influenced by an earlier Universal film The Werewolf Of London and mainly by Greek mythology.
The Curse Of The Werewolf was the first adaptation of The Werewolf Of Paris.

Well, the part about the appearance is true I suppose, but afterall, hundreds of films with bipedal human-like werewolves are the result of The Wolf Man.

I guess you can speculate that The Werewolf Of Paris influenced The Wolf Man, but there's really no way to support either of our claims about whether it did or not. However, Curt Siodmak did claim that Greek mythology is what influenced him the most.

In the novel Werewolf of London
You mean Paris? =p

Oliver Reed was just 23 when he was in this. His first film, I think.

Oliver Reed 1938-1999, R.I.P.

Oliver Reed is one of my favorite actors of all time and this film is probably the second best performance I've seen from him (Burnt Offerings is the first). He is very charismatic and I think he was a perfect choice for this film. The werewolf makeup was very good as well.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.
