I'm bored with the boring name Doris.

Go back to watching the "Scream" movies and other trash and don't bother with classic horror till you've grown up.

By the way the great Oliver Reed is in this and that alone makes it worth watching.

Perhaps Hammer Films aren't right for you. I must confess, I didn't think much of the Hammer horror films when I was younger because they were much too slow for me back then. I liked the action packed, slice and dice horror films. As I got older, I began to appreciate the Hammer films a lot more as I shifted to horror movies that focus mainly on story, atmosphere, and characters rather than violence and nudity. If you aren't used to horror films that take a while to get to the action and let you know the characters and settings first, then you probably won't enjoy this or any other pre-1980s horror films.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

I disagree, Warlock. I love Hammer films, and don't mind the slower, more story-driven atmosphere, but they just really dropped the ball on this one. The main character doesn't even come into it until half the movie is over, and we barely see any of the werewolf. This pales in comparison to the original "Wolfman" and even the earlier "Werewolf of London."

reply

Well, it does technically show the main character as a child but I do see what you mean. It could've used more of the werewolf because the makeup was really amazing, but perhaps they didn't have the budget for it.
