I just watched this modest little drama and found it watchable if not terribly interesting. Cushing and Morell are superb but the stagey direction detracts and the plot is cliched. There is no action at all, just lots of talking.
My copy ran 77 min and 28 seconds, this I assume stems from a PAL recording on VHS and proper NTSC run time is closer to 80 min.
66 min copies to circulate, but where do they come from? The movie was timed at 84 minutes in a N Y Times review and the BBFC have it at 88 + min.
Does anyone have a longer version?

66m was the length of the version released theatrically in the UK.

88mins was the original UK theatrical running time not 66mins.

The version on the "Icons of Suspense" Region 1 DVD box set runs 80 minutes.

"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"
