I'm not mad...or hate anyone for the role. I guess being young and watching old films with such characters that were accepted back then is just a bit shocking.

When you are old, young people will marvel at the supposed backwardness of your generation. As an old person, I can tell you that seems to be the natural course of things. You'll see. ?

The character was funny and Rooney did it perfectly. Snowflakes need not watch if they're too sensitive. Go listen to NPR instead.
