Remake/Sequel?

I do not see how one could make a sequel considering that the protagonist died at the end. And I certainly hope that this film will never be numbered among the victims of the remake epidemic (and I use that word in the most pejorative sense) of recent years.

Rather, I would hope that this magnificent film, shot on a budget of only $20,000, would serve as an inspiration to any who desire to write and film an original story.

Akureyri

Scorsese all but remade this film with Taxi Driver. It isn't spot on..but there are too many similarities not to make the connection.
