Year and Make of Car

It has been many years (about 30) since I saw this film. I seem to remember that the American car in the film was a 1959 Oldsmobile convertible, not a Cadillac.

I saw this in a theater in DC as our high school French teacher recommended it; that would have been about 1965. I'm fairly certain you are right about it not being a Cadillac. Something else from GM, but I was thinking Chevrolet, it could well have been Pontiac, Buick or, a you suggest, Oldsmobile. As I recall it, a very funny movie with lots of visual humor so you don't miss much if the language is a problem.

My apologies for my prior reply; your memory is correct. Found some photos and a French language blog that identify the as as a 1959 Oldsmobile 98 convertible - quite a car with twin radio antennas mounted on the rear fins.
