How come the two lawmen have to risk their lives scaling that dangerous rock face to get to the cave, when two little boys find their way there with no trouble? And come to think of it, the two lawmen fairly easily go back down carrying a limp woman between them.

How come Jim Archer has to parachute onto the top of the plateau, when later Joe Dobson simply picks him up in the police car? And the boys' father just wanders onto it by accident?

How come the boys' father keeps looking like he's getting shot, but he never gets shot?

Don't you know that this film was made in the Twilight Zone, where nothing makes sense and the lanscape changes from minute to minute? Or at least that's my theory, anyway. Or it could be the fact that Coleman Francis's brain had been pickled by alcohol so all kind of random thoughts were juxtaposed together to make a movie.
