Half the...

The princess (meaning her hand in marriage) and half the kingdom is the
traditional reward for helping the king in Norwegian fairy tales. I am
not sure if it was this movie or another where someone was telling a
story to a group of kids, and when they heard of the generous reward,
two of them remarked:

"Wow, half the kingdom!"
"Yeah, and the WHOLE princess!"
