A morbid lullaby...

I loved it. The near-total absence of plot did not interest me so much as the absolute warm, cozy feeling that I was slipping into oblivion. The look, the mood, the state of being. The movie is the final word on hypnotic. An absolute mood movie. Totally eerie. The ultimate in no-thrills horror.

I think the movie might even make death seem like something almost pleasurable. Inertia has never been made to seem so luxurious and seductive. More like that state of cozy bliss during those last few moments before I drift toawards sleep.
