Wilfrid Hyde-White

I throught he did a great job as the sleazy back room deal maker.

I agree that he was terrific. I did notice, though, that once in a while his accent was US southern, and other times British . . . Didn't really matter, though! It was one of his most memorable performances, accent or not.

He had that right snake-like slitheryness in the way he moved and the hooded eyes.

Hyde-White was SO quintessentially ENGLISH that assaying a real Southern accent was outside his skill set but as rnmackenzie points out he made the role his own and created a character it was easy to hate !

Come on lads, bags of swank!
