Is the red tint the film or Antenna TV? I noticed some episodes have a redish tint to them but not all. I thought studios did something to remaster shows from that era to preserve them and correct color contrasts, like how they remaster music to preserve the quality or improve it. Did this show film on something that could not always be corrected because not all episodes are like this.
I noticed the shows that did not go with muted green sets like the Andy Grffith Show tended use reddish brown sets. My Mother the Car is an example of this. The Lucy Show is another. Some shows seemed to be trying to use every color just to brag that they were in living color.
shareI doubt Sony (who owns the show) would ever spend the money to restore them. Even the dvd set prints weren't remastered and they weren't cheap. I think they were $30 or so per season.
