I've got '900 channel' digital cable, and I don't get Bullwinkle. Many of the channels are duplicates, and almost all run the same crapola.

Like, why does Cartoon Network not run GOOD cartoons, like Bullwinkle or Warner's? Why does Sci-Fi not run Star Trek, Science Fiction Theater, but they run professional wrestling instead? Why do all 5 Nickelodeon channels play the same Spongebob reruns, 3 channels at the same time?

It's not even a cost issue. The same media companies that own the copyrights own the cable outlets. Examples: Time Warner owns many outlets, and they own Warner cartoons, which they never show. SciFi is owned by NBC-Universal, which owns the sci fi classic Incredible Shrinking Man, but you will never see that film on SciFi.

Amen to that. I miss good old cartoons like Bullwinkle! I taped it last weekend from WGN America and it made me nostalgic.

I just found it tonight on WGN-Chicago. They aired it earlier tonight, but its regular slot appears to be 11 p.m. CST on Saturdays.

Imagine that, I just watched it myself. A real trip down memory lane. I wasn't in love with this show when I was younger, but it had its moments. One of my favorite things about it was the continuing storyline. In most cartoons, whatever happened the preceding show has nothing to do with what's going on in the next one. It's a shame this is probably the only episode I'll watch for a good while.

I Borrowed the DVD's from the library. Right now I have season I, which has 26 episodes and some extras. I had season II, which I think had 52 episodes. That's one for every week of the year. I didn't get to watch it much as a kid because it was on Sunday mornings and usually I was in church; it was a treat when I did get to see it. Now I'm just going through the series. It's a hoot.

It's on Saturdays on Family Network (FAMNET) at 8:30 am (Central)
