Death At Bargain Prices,real store?

someone will say it is a stupid question but do we think that the department store was a real or a set?

I have always loved this episode,it reminds me of being a kid and visiting stores a bit like that one, floor after floor of stuff.

The department store was a set. some stock footage was used to establish location with the deserted streets, and possibly the shot of the department store where we see the ariel view of the whole store. I've read that the elevator on set only went up and down 1 floor so each time it looks like someone is getting off at a different level, the set would have to be rearranged and dressed to look like another floor to give the illusion it was a multilevel department store

thanks for the reply.
Most people on here won't be old enough to remember when department stores really did sell just about everything, toys, clothes, sporting goods and electrical goods.

Watching the old episodes of The Avengers I enjoy the old (then new) furniture and decorations.

That's why I love watching old films and TV shows. I wasn't around before the 80s so I love traveling back in time and experiencing the past via my TV!

Did you ever watch The Twilight Zone episode where the woman tries to by a thimble at a department store? That showcased a 50s department store wonderfully.
