Region 2 DVD?
Does anyone know when this classic is going to get released on DVD?
shareI thought it was allready released in a French only version in 2005.
The Dutch subtitle version is due for 2006.
I don't know of any English subtitle version.

It is available. On Amazon UK there are two videos and one DVD version.(This has no subtitles.) Or Moviemail has it as part of the Louis Malle collection.
shareWhy is this movie so hard to find in the US? I saw it close to ten years ago in a French cinema class and my patience for a release of a Region 1 DVD is running low, come on people I have good hard cash to spend.
As for the film, it king of reminded me of a live action cartoon, the kind of film that can ammuse both the youngsters and the oldies.

If you haven't done so already (as I reply over 4 years after your post), break free from the shackles of DVD regions and video formats!
Use a flat screen tv or computer monitor for movie viewing.
Get a multi-region DVD player, or a player for which there is a region unlocking code (codes of many players are published on a variety of helpful web sites).
Or use a computer with a DVD drive set to R2 (use multiple drives, internal or external) if you want multiple regions to be available on the computer.
Or download DVD Decrypter and Media Player Classic Home Cinema (both are free), rip any region/format of DVD to video files with DVD Decrypter, and play them back with Media Player Classic.
