Just watching the movie at the moment, and i cant get over how old Jo looks. Imdb lists her DOB @ 1914 , which would make her about 46 tops in this movie, yet she looks about 80 lol. Surely some of it is make up, but damn, she still looks pretty horrid, and that make up is fairly realistic, scary.... Im am in shock that even makeup could make her look that old... aye carumba !!

shareThere was far more than makeup that produced Ms Van Fleet's portrayal of a woman over forty years older than her actual age. I don't know how an actor goes about developing a character but I do know that many, many physical and vocal attributes need to be considered.
Ms Van Fleet's perfect interpretation of all facets of her character left no doubt in the viewers mind that she was an octogenerian.
That wasn't very sporting, using real bullets.
This viewer didn't buy it.
