am i the only one who find this movie a hoot, the frequent buzzing as sort of like the movie's constant soundtrack, this cool guy keeping bees, and the title role not even resembling the art cover but rather the usual low budget 1950's roger corman's goofy monster, much of the dialogue feels dated though and the obsession for the woman to keep baby smooth skin to keep her job is disturbing. only on see and then just on audio this is a lot of fun. right off you can tell it's a corman movie by the choice of opening jazz like music, and like other corman movies from around the same time it does not appear like a horror flick for a long while but drags on in pretty much everyday situations until the very end, but if you want a horror flick suitable to watch on a summer's day this must be ideal, personally i think the plot reminds of the twilight zone episode "a short drink from a certain fountain" (though he does not turn into a monster at all) and one of the actors in this appears to be the villain in the dark twilight zone episode "nightmare as a child", so if you want a similar watch with shorter running time, richer dialogue and more entertaining, check out "a short drink from a certain fountain" in the 1959 tv series, or, the radio version 📻 of that which is hilarious and stars adam west from "family guy", one of two radio dramas he stars in on "the twilight zone radio dramas", the other episode he stars in is great too, but a whole different story, titled "still valley".

sun with wavy hair ability to speak,
make up heavenly charm shining,
im an earthman livin in your galaxy,
i was just like a strawberry,
with your magic art form above my field,
in summer when all left,
got the soil to yourself,
as you get closer im helpless,
your beam my reality shook,
harvest so rich mirror in strawberry moon.
