A great movie

I find it's full packed with great ideas, first it's a very nice trial movie with fines dialogues, located inside the historic Palais de Justice, Paris.

Then the love affairs of someone being the subject of a trial reminds me kafka's Trial, the private life being exposed in court... it's a archetypical theme cf. the Last Judgement, or judgement before conscience. So it seems to me going a little beyond realism, and like often by Clouzot, the truth remains unclear, enigmatic, until the end (like for The Raven, 1943)

And foremost, it's BB' best performance first as mediocre blonde but then as a true human being, a absolute unique person... i didn't know she could act dramatically, she is moving in that part, a kind of "lost girl".
