Wouldn't the plants be EVIL as well?

There was a mention of certain plants flowering unnaturally after the blackout.

So....would they be EVIL as well? Kinda like in Star Trek...those flowers that shot poisonous darts (The Apple), or spores that affected their bodies and minds (This Side of Paradise)?

I'd keep a watch on anyone that enjoys gardening...could be some glowing eyes there...
