I'm not surprised this film is in Tarantino's "cult" list, for the making of this where involved no less then 5 of the best directors of what was to be known as the "spaghetti western" genre few years later:

Sergio Leone (writer and co-director) - A Fistful of Dollars / For a few Dollars More / The Good, the Bad and the Ugly etc...
Sergio Corbucci
(writer and 2nd unit director) - Django / Navajo Joe / The Hellbenders / The Great Silence etc...
Duccio Tessari (writer and assistant director) - A Pistol for Ringo / The Return of Ringo / Zorro
Enzo Barboni
(director of photography: second unit) - My Name Is Trinity / Trinity is Still My Name
Lucio Fulci
(associate producer) - Massacre Time / The Four of the Apocalypse / Silver Saddle

Fulci also became know for some great "gialli" and later as the Godfather of gore with his over-the top horror films.
On top of that the theme was written by A.F. Lavagnino, one of the most prolific SW composers after Morricone.
