Ending of the movie

While travelling on the train Lennie sees the police coming down the corridor. Thinking that Soapy has given them away Dodger tells Lennie to climb on the top of the train with the bag containing the gems.

The police enter their compartment and it becomes clear that they are not looking for Dodger & co. Dodger leans out of the train and tells Lennie to pass him the sack containing the gems. Dodger accidentally drops the sack into the net that collects the mail at the station.

We then see Soapy in jail and a newspaper headline that says "Safe arrival of Sultan's gems"

The final scene shows the Sultan sat on one half of a weighing scale with the gems being placed in the other half. Several men in Arab clothes are on their knees watching the weighing ceremony, including Dodger, Jelly & Lennie waiting for their chance to strike it rich.
