A Great Film
I would urge any film fan to watch this and The Wrong Arm of The Law. They're from the golden age of English comedies. Peter Sellars is great in both. Restrained, letting the great scripts do the work.

shareYes, a very entertaining film, though I wonder how the gang knew the cross-country route taken by the diamonds convoy?
Thorley Walters, who played Colonel Parkright, was considered for the role of Captain Mainwaring in "Dad's Army" and in TWS one can see why, though perhaps he did have something of a military bearing that Arthur Lowe lacked and that contributed to the latter's memorable depiction.
