This 1960's ghost film deserves a remake

Go see it if you get the chance. I have not seen it now in many years.

I agree. Can't believe the imdb rating is so low. This movie was good and creepy. They just didn't have great special effects back then, but the story is awesome.

The low rating is probably from MST fans. This is a cool movie.

I watched the film on YouTube and there was an introduction by the person who uploaded it. He remarked that it is "a very elegant ghost story." I agree whole-heartedly. No dark old houses, this ghost does her haunting in broad daylight in the California sun! And no clanging of chains, she uses perfume and jewelry! I felt it was a very good ghost story/psychological thriller and disagree with the low rating.

In turn I agree whole-heartedly with you. The derelict lighthouse made such an atmospheric creepy setting. Remakes and their special effects are ok but I doubt if any would beat the sheer atmosphere of this most unusual ghost story.

Bert I. "Flesh Gordon" packed a lot of cheesecake in this movie!

This is definitely a decent movie. It's just "old". Honestly, I would have liked it if mst3k made fun of more movies like this. Movies that weren't bad, just dated.

It had good acting, good atmosphere and a decent plot.

Great idea, it's better to remake unpopular, lesser known or obscure films than to classics

"Killer Klowns from Outer Space? Holy S***"

I usually wouldn't agree to a remake, but this film could use on, and this time have some more action in this one.. please.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

I like this film so much that I wouldn't want to see a remake. I think that at the beginning when Tom called the setting the peaceful island that he needed is key. Too much action on a peaceful island would scare the ghosts away.

I actually believe it could've been a really good horror movie if it hadn't been so badly put together. The main problem is that some things don't make sense; I'm still trying to figure out if the story about the missing boy was supposed to actually have any connection with Vi's ghost.
