Ending COMPLETELY wrong

In the book, Uncle Dan'l and Aunt Olive do not see Toby in the circus, but he leaves the circus and finds his way home on his own. But, as USUAL, disney "adapted" the ending to suit his own ideas.

The book, by James Otis, is on Nook, and can be gotten for free. Read the book and the REAL ending.

My kid loved it. Couldn't care less about changes from the novel.

I think it's best that Uncle Daniel and Aunt Olive came to Toby, rather than Toby coming home. After saying possibly the most horrible thing any movie character has ever said to a child, they should be the ones to say they are sorry. Well, Uncle Daniel anyway. Aunt Olive didn't do much that was wrong.

I always fiond it interesting to compare books with movies. Usually I find the books to be better written. I will have to read this one.

I usually find I enjoy the book more than the movie. There are some examples to the contrary though.

The Godfather - Great novel, even greater film.
To Kill a Mockingbird - Mediocre novel, EXCELLENT FILM!

There are others of course.

I've often heard people say that 'Battlefield Earth' was actually a very interesting novel. But that movie is one HUGE pile of crap.
