RIP Rod Taylor

Time finally caught up with George, it seems. Thanks for a wonderful journey, Rod. It wouldn't have been the same without you.

I'm saddened to hear this. 

Great shame-lovely man. Now release a Blu Ray of this wonderful film in his memory.

Watched my Blu-ray version just last night. And the poignant "extra" where George returns to meet Philby---years after the events in the movie.

In their meeting, Philby asks George why he looks older. George replies that, even though he travels through time, he will still continue to age since time doesn't stop for him.

Then I wake up this morning to read this sad news......

This is really the only movie which I know him for however I'm sure he's done many a fine film as well. But it I don't think there could be any part which he was more suitable to play.

Now it would be appropriate to step back in time and watch this all time classic film.

Thank you Mr Taylor for this marvellous film. RIP.

There's several which I think are minimal 'must-see,' although The Time Machine (1960) will always be my favorite.

World Without End (1956)
The Birds (1963)
The Liquidator (1965)
The Glass Bottom Boat (1966)

There's also a couple of must-see television appearances:

The Twilight Zone (1959), And When the Sky Was Opened (1959) (one of the scariest of all the 'Zone's):

Tales of the Unexpected (1979), The Hitch-Hiker (1980):

I love that extra. It's even more poignant now.
