A question and comment

Question first. I was recently searching around the internet on the time machine when I saw some old black and white photos that were suppose to be from the movie. One was a Morlock carrying Weena around. I don't remember the others but one was Rod Taylor fighting a Morlock. I don't remember these scenes from the movie. I saw the movie when it first came out and I have the DVD of it. Were these just stills made to advertise the movie? It bothers me because this is one of my favorite movies and I don't remember some of these scenes.
I read "The Sound of Thunder" when it was in Playboy. It must have been a reprint because I was only 9 years old when it was first published. The story has always stayed with me and it really peaked my interest about time travel. I read the novel which was really good. And I try to see most of the time travel movies. The last Time Machine movie was not that bad but it wasn't as good as the 1960 version. I had always hoped that time travel (if it was going to happen) would happen in my lifetime. Well, it looks like that is not going to happen. So a short story,a novel, and movie has not been forgotten in fifty years. A mark of real quality if you ask me. Thanks.

In every movie, scenes are shot which are cut from the released film. You may have seen a still from a scene that didn't make the final cut.

In the movie "Hard Times" with Charles Bronson, he fights several fighters. One of the fights, with a black boxer, was cut from the final movie.

If time travel was invented in the future, wouldn't we already know about it because they'd have come back and told us?

reply

Only if they wanted to tell us.

Not if it produces multiple time streams. We're apparently in the original time stream, before they came back.

Or, maybe you can only travel into the future and back, which causes fewer problems, I think.
