I liked how MST3K mentioned more than an hour into the movie how they thought the title has nothing to do with the movie. There was only one spider and once that guy was bitten why didn't he attack the women during the 28 days they were on the island. He didn't even look like a spider, more like a werewolf or something.

Hmmm... I've seen a reconstructed German print of the movie twice and I don't remember any real nudity. I think there were some wide shots with the girls jumping into the sea and taking a bath, plus a couple of closer shots in the same scene with the moving water obscuring the girls' bodies. Very tame.

When my friends and I watched this awhile ago, someone made the joke "That was more like 'The Whores of Spider Island,'" and we've called it that ever since.
We found it hilarious that the girls needed to be told how much water to drink and when to go to bed.
A more suitable title for this film would be "Girls dance lightly dressed and talk about boys. And also something about a big spider."
