Male lead films are more highly regarded than female lead films

I was seeing this on the tv and it looked terrible to me, and it paled in comparison to my favorite epic film, Cleopatra. By contrast, this looked boring, ugly, cheesy, Kirk Douglas was ridiculous and I have to wonder if this film warrants its 3 hour and 20 minutes runtime. Maybe if the Jesus brainwashing element was taken out. I tried several times to edit down Cleopatra but it can't be done, the film needs everything you see in it. This just seems like the worst of Hollyrome, even Kubrick disowned it, but since it stars a man, it's the greatest thing ever.

Cut the bs ya whiney SJW.

The first hour of "Spartacus" is cinema at it's finest. Kirk Douglas easily carries the film with this charisma.

"Cleopatra" (1963) is just DULL, unless you like interminable (boring) talk. I admit that the last two hours of "Spartacus" aren't great by any means (like the first hour), but they're seriously compelling compared to "Cleopatra."

How many times have you seen Cleopatra?? I was bored too but now I love it. What do you expect, she was not a warrior queen. It is still exceptionally done.
