Boobies? Boobies!

Was glimpses like these (we had a NIPPLE in plain sight for a brief moment!) daring at the time, or quite common? I have little knowledge of '60s cinema, and much less of JAPANESE cinema of the era.

Gorgeous shot, in any case. In an artsy sort of way. Her body was tastefully captured on film, despite the nature of the scene. The way she emerges, leaning backwards and grasping the arrow in her chest, then falls flat on her back. Aside from the subsequent writhing in pain, that was a darkly beautiful moment I doubt the film will top, from a visual standpoint. And, to be completely honest, it was a fair bit arousing. Damn, girl... Damn.

Sad story. You got a smoke?

Well, it was 1960s Japan, so having some nudity in the film isn't too uncommon, especially if it's an art-house or a pinku film. This film is neither (although its director went off the rails just a few years later and started making completely baffling art films), so I guess it was a bit surprising to see a boob, mainly because this was a studio production rather than an independent release.

If you found this to be arousing however, than God knows how you'd react upon seeing Shohei Imamura's Vengeance is Mine (1979). Your mind would be blown.
