This is a simply wonderful film about a boy being raised on a collective farm somewhere in Russia. It shows some of the rituals of the Russians which have not been touched by the soviet's "socialist realism."
There are also some very funny scenes in it.
Oh, you´re one of the lucky ones. I´ve been trying to watch this film for quite a long time now. It´s so hard to find and I´m dying to see it.
shareGood news for you friend; this movie can be bought for around $9.00 from a seller off Ioffer.com. I rented it from Facets who has it on VHS, so have now ordered it from Ioffer. Can't announce sellers name but they sell coming-of-age titles from all over the world.
