The MTV showing - A Holy Grail

I've read every post on this board, and while a reference or two was made to the mid-80s MTV showing of this film, I didn't see any clues as to The Quest, so here I go. I recorded that airing, which was heavily promoted due to the fact that SCRATCH & SNIFF CARDS were available at 7-11 stores. Had one, of course, and as memory serves they were CRAPPY...printed on thin, slick magazine-like stock which didn't hold up to heavy scratching, and heavy scratching was NECESSARY since precious little scent was loaded onto the numbered spots. Do I still have the card? OF COURSE NOT, which is what I'm doing here. SOMEBODY OUT IN IMDB LAND HAS ONE (or more), AND I WANT IT!! I possess one of the most sickly obsessive movie libraries on earth, and there's NOTHING you cannot have in exchange for this Holy Grail, and that includes SEXUAL FAVORS if necessary (but be careful what you wish for). PLEASE, if you are the collector of the bizarre that will be my new BFF, post a reply here. I LOVE YOU, and will bear you SONS!

I have the MTV movie, but sorry no sniff card. Just have to thank you for the laugh as I read your post.

Since that post, I actually FOUND IT! The path to it was long & winding, to say the least, but I did NOT have to 'put out,' which was quite a relief (to both me AND the guy who had it). The trail of clues I slowly unearthed was pretty damned obscure, and it left me thinking that maybe I'M the guy who'll find Jimmy Hoffa's remains. And since then, I recorded the scratch'n'sniff episode of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" (the little twerp's farts don't really smell NEARLY as bad as you'd expect them to), and acquired SIX sets of the cards, just in case somebody offers to put out for one some day. THANK YOU for the message. You made my day.
