Lorenzo grows up physically too?

Does anyone notice this or is it just me? He looks like a scrawny and nerdy teenager at the beginning of the movie. Towards the end he looks more like a young adult with the physique to match. I wonder if this is just an illusion with the suit jacket or the director asked Perrin to put on a few pounds and add more meat to his body.
